If you’ve read this blog a while, you know that our lives rotate quite a bit around our animal rescue. Sometimes it is very difficult for me to get out the door for something early in the morning because of all the responsibility. Steve definitely helps every day, but the other day when I needed to get many things done so that I could make the two-hour trek up to see my dad for a Father’s Day outing, Steve really stepped up double-time and pitched in, and I made it on time. ❤
I know that Steve would have made a terrific dad, but after a few years of marriage we decided our lives were quite complete. Our animal rescue efforts bring us many furry children. 🙂
And for all of you who have asked, here is the inspiration for “Little Blue Steve Guy”: Uncle Steve in his lawn-mowing paraphernalia. He has a blue moisture-wicking shirt and a little white beanie that does the same.
He himself added: “Yep, that’s the right shape, too”. ❤
I had a flat tire yesterday, not Steve, but somehow drawing Little Blue Steve Guy in the situation takes the edge off. 🙂
I have to give Steve much credit..once he was back from his trip he immediately started on the resulting laundry.:)
Steve is home! But here is the the last Snackerdoodle I hid in his suitcase.
Note: Steve does not wear orange pants. But when I left Little Blue Steve Guy with white pants, he looked like a strange little Smurf.
Actually, Steve is just fine and not sunburned; this was simply my loving reminder to not forget the sunscreen.:) ❤
Okay, so I don’t know how much time Steve is going to spend in Adventureland at Disney over the weekend, but a Disney trip just isn’t a Disney trip without a Dole Whip.
